It´s the arts! 9: Aguirre, the Wrath of God

This is the toilet Aguirre and his men had on their fleet. As always, someone got killed just after visiting it. If a WC appears in a film, shit is soon to happen, although not in the litteral way. Think of John Travolta in Pulp Fiction, for instance.

It´s the arts! 8: Top Secret

One of the greatest comedies ever. However, there is an error in this scene. Val Kilmer is supposedly in a prison in DDR. However, the WC in the picture is a Lüstigschämzen 77 from the West German Krag & Krüger factory, which did not export to DDR. Recently released Stasi archives reveal that most prisons had Soviet Kandoljskaja WCs, made from old nuclear missiles.

If you ever wondered what makes The Big Lebowski one of the greatest films ever, the IWCRP brings you the answer.

First of all, the soundtrack includes a Captain Beefheart song. Second, the toilet cuestion mankind has struggled with intellectually since the dawn of time, is interpreted very creatively.

On one hand, the WC is used in innovative ways, and on the other hand, unconventional furniture is given the function that the WC usually has. Altering the universe in such ways has consecuences, of course. The chinese person urinating on the rug is the core of the plot, the start of a chain reaction.
